Fire of God

Many want the fire of God, but fail to realize that it is useless to kindle a fire unless something is ready to be consumed.They don't realize that they are the wood. They don't know that wood that is not seasoned only gives off smoke and a bad smell and ultimately quenches the fire it called for. Many want a fire to be lit for comfort, they want it to be controlled. But know this and understand why this fire is yet to kindled......it is to wholly consume you. It is not for show and you cannot control it. It is from God. Because the seasoned are so few and far between the fire cannot be sustained. Those who are willing to be spent must be gathered into one place. It will be God's doing, in a time and place of His choosing. We cannot light the fire. We can only be a willing sacrifice, ready to be thrown upon the fire, that others might benefit from the flame. This is not about personal gratification, it is about love. Love for God and one another. The kind of love that lays it's life down. The kind of love that originates from heaven.
